Nuno Malheiro da Silva
An architect registered with the Portuguese Association of Architects (Ordem dos Arquitectos) with a degree from the University of Lisbon’s School of Architecture where, immediately after completing the architecture degree course, he became an assistant lecturer on the subject of materials.
Since 1991, during his training, he worked at various architectural offices and participated in a number of different projects, in particular the design of the new Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Centre (FIL) in Parque das Nações.
He founded his first architectural firm in 1997. Later, in 2005, he founded FOCUS GROUP by combining several providers of complementary consultancy and design services through a concept, innovative for such services in Portugal, dubbed the “One-Stop Solution”.
Over the past 24 years, at the companies he founded which gave rise to FOCUS GROUP, he has planned and coordinated dozens of projects of wide ranging scales and types, from residential buildings to retail, service and tourism buildings, athletic and cultural facilities, zoning plans, subdivisions, urban parks and several soft mobility projects, through both public and private contracts.
At the same time, he has participated as a speaker in conferences involving architecture and real estate.
He has also been a member of the management of the Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV) since 2010.
