The refurbishment of the Montemor-O-Novo Public Garden, which follows on from the work already under way to re-qualify the public space and urban environment on Rua de Aviz, Rua das Escadinhas and Rua de Olivença.

The intervention zone has an approximate area of 4.400 m2, and coincides almost entirely with the Public Garden. One of the relevant aspects of the intervention is the reduction of the maintenance and irrigation requirements of this space. Aiming at reduced maintenance and avoiding the frequent replanting of individuals, the herbaceous-shrub sets were made up of small herbaceous plants and subshrubs. This project was developed in partnership with the architect Miguel Viseu Coelho.
