The Ecovia do Mondego is an extension of the Ecopista do Dão, located in the municipalities of Santa Comba Dão, Mortágua, Penacova and Vila Nova de Poiares.

Opened in July 2024, this cycle path under the responsibility of CIM Coimbra region, with around 46.7 km, runs through the districts of Viseu and Coimbra and is expected to be extended to Figueira da Foz, thus becoming part of the Costa route Atlântica - Eurovelo 1 - from the European cycle path network “Eurovelo”.

The Ecovia do Mondego allows you to travel along the banks of the Mondego River and enjoy some points of interest in the area, such as the Mondego Bookstore, the Aguieira Dam and follow part of Estrada Nacional 2.
